Editorial Policy
How Dorigine selects, produces, and discloses the content it publishes.
Editorial Content vs. Sponsored Content
Dorigine publishes two distinct types of content, and we keep them clearly separated:
- Editorial content is written and selected by the Dorigine editorial team based on general consumer interest. It is not paid for by outside companies and reflects our team's own research and judgment.
- Sponsored content ("Advertorial") is paid placement, published under
/advertorial/, and is clearly labeled as "Advertorial" or "Sponsored Content" at the very top of the page, before any other content.
How Articles Are Selected
Editorial topics are chosen based on general, everyday relevance — home, technology, shopping, travel, and wellness subjects that a broad consumer audience is likely to find useful. Topics are not selected or influenced by advertisers.
Accuracy & Standards
We aim to publish accurate, practically useful content and avoid unsupported claims, fabricated statistics, or sensationalized headlines. Our articles do not use fake testimonials, fake statistics, fake expert quotes, or fabricated citations.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains an inaccuracy, please contact us with details. We review correction requests and update published content where warranted.
Sponsored Content Disclosure
Every advertorial page includes a disclosure at the top of the page, before the headline and main content, stating that the page is "Advertorial" and contains sponsored content. Advertorial pages are visually distinct from editorial articles and are also listed together in our sponsored content archive.
Image Sourcing
Photography used on Dorigine is sourced from Pexels, a stock photography platform, under its applicable commercial-use license. We select images that are genuinely relevant to the article's subject matter and avoid images that could be misleading or imply an endorsement that doesn't exist.
External References
Where an article references external information, we aim to link to or credit the original source where practical, and we avoid presenting unsupported claims as established fact.
Author Attribution
Articles are currently published under a shared editorial byline while individual author profiles are established. Our author page reflects this and will be updated as individual attribution is added.
